Mi Musica Mondays
1) CNCO - Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos)
So this is one of the pop-bubblegum bands that was formed by winning a Latin American singing competitions called 'La Banda' (created by Simon Cowell and produced by Ricky Martin).
What can I say? It's a catchy song.
2) Maluma - Sin Contrato
Yeah, another Maluma song. It's just that...
3) Shakira - Chantaje (Official video) ft. Maluma
Shakira + Maluma = MUY Caliente.
Side Note: I feel as though Shakira is meant to be enjoyed in Spanish. Then again, I'm a bit biased.
Enjoy!!!!

Mi Musica Mondays
1) Ricky Martin ft. Maluma - Vente Pa' Ca
During my recent trip to Chile, this song was considered the unofficial 'song of the summer.' You heard it eeeeeverywhere. Oh! and P.S: Ricky's BAAAAAAACK!
2) Maluma - Felices Los 4
Maluma is a Colombian singer who is *IT* in South America. He was performing at a music festival in the city I was staying at (Viña Del Mar) and the city was in complete PANDEMONIUM. Girls, teens, women (and men!) screaming, crying, singing, chanting his name, and stalking/chasing him down. He's like Justin Bieber, but a MILLION times cooler (sorry Biebs!).
3) Luis Enrique - Yo No Se Mañana
A great love song (kind of) that I highly recommend you google the lyrics to. We've all been there.
Enjoy!

Mi Musica Mondays
Monday can always use more spice, so why not make things a little more caliente with a new weekly Latin American music feature?!?!
Here are some of my favourite Latin tunes at the moment.
1) Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee - Despacito ~ This song is everywhere and everything right now.
2) Shakira - Me Enamoré ~ An adorable song she wrote about her baby daddy, Gerard Piqué (professional footballer who plays for FC Barcelona and Spain's national team).
3) Romeo Santos - Propuesta Indecente ~ In Chile, when something is labeled as being 'cheesy' we call it 'cebolla' (pronounced: seh-bo-ya), which literally translates to 'onion'. This song is just the right amount of cebolla.
Enjoy!

It's called Notorious Jazz, and yes, it's NSFW.
Might I suggest you slip on some headphones/earbuds for this one???
FYI: You can download the album for free (or by donation!).
Enjoy!

Songs Of The Day ~ Local Natives & Zayn
The Local Natives are one of those amazing bands that for some reason, always seem to fly just under the radar. If you have a sec, check out their music. It's all top notch stuff.
ZAYN - Whether he comes from a cheesy boy band or not, the guy can sing... REALLY well. This song has embedded itself into my brain and I'm OK with that.
Alternatively, here's a solid remix of this tune (which is available as a free download). Heck yeah.
Enjoy!

Song Of The Day ~ The Postal Service
The Postal Service = The brainchild of Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello. This dynamic duo has only ever released one album called 'Give Up' (back in 2003) and then reissued it for it's 10th anniversary in 2013.
For the last two years, there have been rumours that TPS were finally working on new music, but any hopes for a sophomore album were squashed earlier this year when in a Reddit interview, Gibbard confirmed that The Postal Service was D-O-N-E.
Such a shame.
An olide, but always and forever a goodie.
Enjoy.

Songs Of The Day ~ The Arcs
Dan Auerbach is most well known as the lead singer for the Black Keys, but in reality, the uber-talented musician has tons of projects on the go.
The latest one is called 'The Arcs' which is an assortment of some of the musicians Dan likes to jam with.
Earlier this month, they released their debut album, 'Yours, Dreamily'.
It's quirky, it's psychedelic and unbelievably cool.
Here are 2 tracks I currently have on repeat.
Enjoy.
