Hilarious Story Of The Day *Chubby!!!*

Get this....
Rock n' roll pioneer Chubby Checker (think: 'The Twist') is suing the makers of an app that guesses the size of a man's penis, based on his shoe size. So what's the big deal?
The app is called... the Chubby Checker. Witty as hell if you ask me.

The makers of the app (Hewlett-Packard) have already deleted it, but apparently, that's not enough for Chubby. The singer believes that this fiasco has done "irreparable damage and harm" to his name, which he says is now associated with "obscene sexual connotation and images".
The $500 million lawsuit will be pursued.
Yikes.

Putin's goal is to have the average Russian family include a total of 3 kids per household and he's recruited 90's R&B Group Boys II Men to help him do this.
I know what you're thinking... WHA?!?!?!

 Putin has arranged for Boys II Men to perform a show in Moscow on February 6th. The President is hoping that the R&B Band's romantic music will inspire Russian men to take their wives/girlfriends home and make sweet, sweet love.

Please Stop Saying This...

What's with people saying 'meow'?!?!?!     
Honestly, there's nothing creepier than a grown man saying 'meow'.

Let me paint a scenario for you.
This is an actual conversation (via text).

Me: Hey 'R'. Whatcha up to? 
R: Just having a few drinks with a friend. What are you doing?
Me: 'V' and I are thinking of going out to the pub. If you're bored, feel free to come join us. 
R: Sounds like fun! Meow.
**Internal Dialogue: Meow?....That's gotta be a typo. **
Me: Cool. 'V' and I will be heading out in about 45. 
R: Great! I'll see you there! Meow.
**Internal Dialogue: Weird. There it is again. What is he trying to say?**
Me: Ummmm... I'm kind of confused. What's with the 'meow'? Is that a spell check error or.....???
R: Oh. No. Sorry! I've had a few too many drinks. ;)
Me: Oh! Ha. I was all creeped out for a minute there! Anywho, we'll meet you inside the pub. We're going with a big group of people, so we'll keep an eye out for ya.
J: That sounds really good. Can't wait to see you! Meow.
Me: Ummmm... Yeah. See you soon!
 **Internal Dialogue: Ew.**

Nowadays, teenagers and over-excited radio DJ's seem to be saying it non-stop.
I say we leave the meowing to cats. Or if that's too much of a challenge, all I ask is that at least the grown men out there stop saying it. The creep factor on it is a solid 10 out of 10.

Photo Diary *Edmonton*

Edmonton: It's cold, it's dry, but it's filled with incredibly friendly people. Here are some highlights from my trip there.




Flying over the Rockies. Pretty amazing huh?











The Santa Maria in West Edmonton Mall (WEM).
I think it's hilarious how whenever I say I'm from Edmonton, the first thing people say is, "Oh! So you used to go to 'The Mall'? Is 'The Mall' really that big? Are you planning on going to 'The Mall' when you go back to visit?".  Truth be told, most people from Edmonton tend to avoid going to WEM, especially over the holidays. It's pure chaos. Believe it or not, there's so much more to Edmonton than 'The Mall'.




                                                                      There's this amazing cafe in Edmonton called 'Duchess Bake Shop'. While I was there, I came across this amazing replica of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. It's exactly a 1/100 scale replica of the real deal, and it's completely edible. It's made entirely of gingerbread.The windows were made of sugar glass and the roof was tinted with white chocolate. All the gargoyles were replaced by gummy bears. CoooOOOoooool!!!!




And finally....

You know what it's like when you invest money in something truly unique, beautiful, and hand made for your home. You just wanna keep it in near perfect condition, right?
One of my brothers purchased a custom, hand made dining room table. Needless to say, the table turned out absolutely gorgeous.
Here's the thing. My brother has become completely neurotic about the table. He gets all tense whenever anyone puts a cup, plate, or piece of cutlery down on the table "too aggressively" (his words, not mine).  It was starting to get a bit out of control. At one point, we were all eating in the living room to avoid my brother's stink eye. As a joke, we all got together and purchased something for him, which we left on his beloved table.....

The 'Do Not Put On Table' Cake.

New Species Of Spider Named After U2's Bono

A new species of spider has been discovered in Joshua Tree National Park (Joshua Tree.... hmmm....  sound familiar?).
Jason Bond, the biologist who discovered the little critter decided to name it A. Bonoi, as a tribute to Bono.
CooooOOOOooool.
Apparently, Jason has a thing for the beautiful, the famous, and the powerful. In the past he's also named his other new arachnid discoveries after Angelina Jolie, Barack Obama, Stephen Colbert and Neil Young.

Back to U2, the band is working on a brand new album (YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!), but according to Bono, they plan on taking their sweet time (noooooooooooo).
