Last weekend, the cast and crew of 'Arrow' had their Christmas party. Needless to say, things got a tiny bit crazy (all within some level of reason, of course).
Throughout the adventures of the evening, I did the unthinkable.
Maybe you've had the misfortune of having done this exact same thing as well, so you'll feel my pain.

I lost my iPhone.

So smartypants didn't realize the phone was missing until I reached into my pocket at the very end of the night, as I was in a cab heading home.
As hard as I tried to retrace my steps, I fought the nausea that came with the realization that my phone was gone, and nothing was going to bring it back. Nothing.
The next hour consisted of me looking for a payphone to call my phone carrier to have my phone blocked (that last thing I needed was a racked up phone bill, right?).
Do you know how hard it is to find a payphone in this city? Seriously! For 35 minutes straight, I scoured my neighbourhood.
I can't even tell you how many times I spotted a phone booth and rushed towards it, only to realize that while the booth was still there, the phone that's supposed to be inside it was not. WTF?!?!
But I digress...

The next morning, I'd already arranged to purchase a used cell phone off craigslist when I saw a weird email in my inbox.
"Hey Carmen I found your phone, I live in Burnaby. Text me to pick it up".
At first, I didn't understand. What is this person talking about? How did they know my phone was missing? Was this a joke?
After a few emails back and forth, I realized that this person did indeed have my iPhone and within a few hours, we were face to face and this person was handing me my beloved phone.
He wasn't keeping it for himself or selling it.
He wasn't asking for anything in exchange for it.
Needless to say, I was overjoyed (and perhaps hugged him a little too much???).
Not only did this person return my phone and save me a bunch of time, money and stress,  he also restored my faith in strangers, and that my friends, is priceless.
