*Songs Of The Week*

by Carmen Cruz

Musical goodness, starting with the best -

P.O.S featuring Mike Mictlan ~  Get Down - It's preeeetty much impossible to not 'shake it' when listening to this tune. This is off rapper P.O.S's latest LP 'We Don't Even Live Here'. Recently, P.O.S had to postpone his North American tour cause the poor guy needs to have a kidney transplant :(. His friends and family have set up a PayPal account for any fans who would like to make a donation towards helping the guy out.

Death From Above 1979 ~ Blood On Our Hands (**Justice Remix**)

Breton ~ Interference - Off of their debut album called 'Other People's Problems'. These guys aren't well known yet, but mark my words, They Will Be.

Muse ~ Madness - One of the most amazing bands to see live... EVER.

The Weeknd ~ Wicked Games

Enjoy.

MOVIE TRAILER ~ IRON MAN 3

by Carmen Cruz

Yessss...

Earlier this month the official plot synopsis was released.
Apparently, " Tony Stark will face an enemy whose reach knows no bounds (scary?), while also promising an answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or   does the suit make the man?"
The synopsis is a bit meh, but the trailer looks good, no?

The movie comes out in April.

Enjoy.

And saving the best for last

James Morrison ~ You Give Me Something - Loving this song to bits and it's regularly on repeat.    **observation: Dude kinda looks like a younger version of Chris Martin from Coldplay, minus that sexy space in between the teeth...**

There's a hilarious comic strip-style story site that I'm hooked on right now. It talks about a little bit of everything (your dog, your cat, religion, and yes, even the music industry).
 www.theoatmeal.com

This particular entry is a favourite of mine and I thought I'd share it with you. It's called - My Dog: The Paradox, and it's dedicated to all the dog lovers out there.

Feist For The Win!

by Carmen Cruz

Congrats to Canadian songstress Feist for winning the 2012 Polaris Music Prize for her fourth album  'Metals'.

She was up against some major Canadian talent this year, including Drake, Fucked Up and the newest indie musician to start making it big, Grimes (originally from Vancouver, yo!)

Feist accepted the award at last night's prize gala in Toronto, from last years winners (Jeremy Gara and Tim Kingsbury of Arcade Fire), and she also pocketed a cool $30,000.

Just after having her name announced, this crazy lady laid down on the floor in pure shock, before finally getting up to accept her award and $$$.

Here's one of the many amazing songs off of her now award winning album.

Yay Feist!

Enjoy.
